The Dáíl's heard that the government is forcing people into homeless.

That's according to Richard Boyd Barrett, who says the government must take immediate action to raise rent supplements in Dublin.

He says the property market in Dublin has led landlords to increase rents - which many people on supplements can't afford.

And he's told social protection minister Joan Burton that people are being kicked out of their homes with nowhere else to go:
