Government Ministers will today hear proposals on how to crack down on Ireland's serial burglars.
The Justice Minister is bringing a memo to the regular cabinet meeting, outlining powers for judges to impose tougher jail terms and bail restrictions.
It's believed to be the first in a series of measures in the pipeline from her Department and Gardai to crackdown on what Frances Fitzgerald has slammed as a heinous crime.
