The Government is to reveal its plan to end the homeless crisis today.

The housing minister is to reveal part one at an Emergency Summit in Dublin later.

he is meeting with the chief executives of the 31 local authorities.

The latest stats show there are more than 8,000 homeless people in this country.

That's an increase of 26% over the past year alone.

It shows 8,160 people, including 2,973 children, were homeless in July of this year. The figures include 1,429 families.
