The Government's long awaited capital investment plan will not now be published until next week.

Government sources say the plan - which had been pencilled in for publication this week - will not not be made public until tomorrow week.

It will detail planned investment of billions of euro in infrastructure across the country.

A rail link for Dublin Airport is expected to be included.

A DART underground already appears to be ruled out, leaving either a resurrected Metro North or Luas link as the likely options.
