The Simon Community is blaming government inaction for the homeless crisis, as new figures show 5 thousand people are in emergency accommodation.

At a conference in Dublin today, campaigners say theyÂ’'ve been offering solutions to the homeless crisis for years, and they havenÂ’'t been implemented.

One leading campaigner said heÂ’'s blue in face giving the government solutions - including modular housing - and whatÂ’'s needed is more housing.
