A small group of squatters in Grangegorman in Dublin could be jailed today unless they leave the property.

Two months ago the High Court ordered the premises to be vacated so it could be sold by Nama appointed receivers.

The Grangegorman squat was home to around 30 people but today the High Court heard only four residents remain.

Acting on a court order last March Nama appointed receivers moved to evict the residents so the site could be put up for sale.

Today they're seeking attachment and committal orders against the few squatters who refuse to vacate the property.

Stephen Bedford is one of them.

He's told the court he intends to stay at Grangegorman until other court proceedings are determined.

This may be a reference to a motion struck out by the Court of Appeal last week.

Lawyers for the receivers say they believe the remaining residents are taking the view that they won't move until gardai are notified.

The hearing continues.
