The owner of Greyhound refuse company says staff at his firm are the highest paid bin workers in Europe.
Their wages are reportedly 60 per cent above the industry average in Ireland.
The claim comes as a pay dispute at the firm could be heading to mediation.
Around 70 workers have been striking since June 17th over cuts and changes to their employment conditions.
Micheal Buckley Director of Greyhound says they are prepared to enter meaningful talks.
