Gardaí in Dublin have found guns and ammunition in a stolen car on Casement Avenue in Finglas.

Uniformed Gardaí discovered the car while patrolling the area shortly before 3pm yesterday afternoon.

Inside the car they discovered two firearms, ammunition and a fuel canister. 

The blue coloured Nissan Pulsar had been stolen in the Dublin 13 area two weeks ago.

The car and its remaining contents were seized for technical examination.

No arrests have been made and investigations are on going.
