Ireland's political system is a cartel - and only the Social Democrats can change it.
That's the claim from one of the party's co-founders, in an interview with Today FM.
Stephen Donnelly says the rules around political funding have made it almost impossible for smaller parties to break the stranglehold of larger ones.
But in an interview with Today FM, he says his own new party has plans to make it easier for new parties.
Deputy Donnelly also accuses the government's of being dishonest in its promise to cut taxes.
He says the government is happy to announce tax cuts - but hiding the impact they'll have on public services.
The interview marks the third installment in our 'Headliners' series, examining the new political parties and groups contesting their first general election in 2016.
