Health Minister hopeful of resolution to Junior Doctors dispute

The Minister for Health says he is hopeful of a resolution to the junior doctor dispute, as talks continue at the Labour Relations Commission.

The Irish Medical Organisation - which represents the non consultant hospital doctors - accepted an invitation to return to talks, following a one day national strike on Tuesday.

The row with the HSE centres on working hours - junior doctors want the EU Working Time Directive implemented which would see the end of shifts of more than 24 hours.
