Kirsty's son Dylan came out as transgender at 13.
He's is now almost 15 and went back to school this month with a new name.
But his gender is not legally recognised and he can't do simple things like open a bank account.
Today marks the first anniversary of the Gender Recognition Act.
It allows people to have their gender legally recognised.
But not if you are under the age of 18.
Campaigners like TENI and BeLong To want this changed.
