The Minister for the Environment insists he didn't know about Irish Water's 86 million euro bill for consultants.
Phil Hogan says he knew Irish Water would spend 180 million euro in setup costs, but not how much it was paying to outside contractors.
Sinn Fein's called on the minister to resign over his handling of the issue.
