Hogan says no decision yet on water charges

The government says it hasn't yet discussed the prospect of a standing charge for customers of Irish Water.

Environment minister Phil Hogan says the government has yet to put forward its proposals for how much households might pay in water charges.

It comes in response to newspaper reports that households could face an annual fee of around €100 - before ever running a tap.
