The number of homeless people in Dublin has fallen by more than a third, according to new figures.

The Peter McVerry Trust found a 38 per cent drop in the number of people sleeping rough on the night of April 14th, compared to the previous count last November.

105 people were found to be homeless that night, compared to 168 in November 2014.

The Trust says it's the largest reduction since the official count began in 2007, and is partly down to extra emergency accomodation being provided.
