Households throw out €400 to €1000 worth of edible food each year.

A forum on food waste is examining how to reduce the two tonnes of food we throw out every minute.

Simultaneously, retailers are taking part in an Action Group on food waste – which could see the end of Buy One Get One Free supermarket offers.
