Diners at a restaurant in the U.S. state of Mississippi were surprised to find that when they finished their meals their cars weren't quite where they had left them.

A huge sinkhole had appeared in the car park - in the town of Meridian - and swallowed 12 vehicles.

There were no reports of any injuries.
