Hundreds have attended the funeral mass of 37-year-old Colm Ennis a climber who died on an expedition on Mont Blanc in France last weekend.

55-year-old Peter Britton from Co Tipperary was also killed instantly on the expedition after both men fell in the Dent du Géant or "Giant's Tooth" sector of the Alps mountain range.

Mr Ennis who is originally from Waterford was buried at Kilbarry cemetery.
