The funeral of Lorna Carty has taken place in Robinstown Co Meath this afternoon.

Hundreds turned out to pay their respects to the nurse who was shot dead in the Tunisian terrorist attack last week.

A guard of honor was formed by the local GAA club, as well as the Meath County team.

Mrs Carty who was in her 50s, was on holiday with her husband Declan at the time of the attack.

She was among 38 people killed in the shooting in the holiday resort of Sousse last week.

Parish priest for Dunderry-Robinstown, Fr Noel Horneck says, the grief of the community cannot compare to that of Lorna's husband and children.
