Hundreds of garda sergeants and inspectors are protesting in Dublin to call for the restoration of their pay.

The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors says middle says theyÂ’ve lost 25 percent of their pay since 2008.

They'Â’re marching in blue, but not in uniform, to coincide with the first day of the new Dail.

Despite earlier suggesting that the march be in uniform, AGSI says it listened to its members wishes and decided to march in blue, but in plainclothes.
