The husband of Dhara Kivlehan has welcomed the verdict of medical misadventure returned at her inquest last night.
Michael Kivlehan thanked the jury - whose deliberations took less than an hour - and said he felt vindicated by their verdict and recommendations.
Among the juror's recommendations was a flagging system for urgent blood test results - and a live database of available intensive care beds across the country.
They also recommended that all consultants involved in surgical procedures record their presence on theatre charts.
Dhara Kivlehan died of multiple organ failure in September 2010 in BelfastÂ’s Victoria Hospital, a week after she had her first child by emergency C-section in Sligo General.
