The family of Eddie Hutch has pleaded for no more revenge or retaliation attacks following an escalation of violence in Dublin in recent weeks.
The 59 year old was shot dead at his home last week in an apparent revenge attack after the death of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel in Drumcondra.

His funeral mass took place this morning in the church on Sean McDermot Street in Dublins North inner city.
A sign saying ‘taxi’ was placed above Eddie Hutch’s coffin as it arrived at Our lady of Lourdes Church on Sean McDermott Street.
Floral tributes which read ‘gentleman’ and ‘grandad’ accompanied the hearse as hundreds of mourners paid their respects to a man described as the life of the party.
Eddie’s brother - Gerry the Monk Hutch –was at the funeral where Fr Richard Ebejer said nobody deserved to die the way Eddie did.
He said the Hutch family want no more revenge or retaliation and they are calling on everybody for this cycle of violence to stop and to stop now.
