Donegal singer Daniel O'Donnell has been confirmed as a contestant in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.

He's the eighth celebrity to be revealed for the new BBC series which begins next month.

Daniel says he took a break from touring earlier this year - and said he would only consider doing something if it was 'both different and exciting'.

He says he 'loves to dance' and he's looking forward to 'getting started'.

Other contestants taking part this year are Ainsley Harriott, Jeremy Vin, Georgia May Foote and Peter Andre.
