The IDA says it helped create 13-thousand-367 jobs in 2013, through foreign direct investment.
The government agency has released new figures today, showing a net increase of 7-thousand-71 jobs, after job losses are taken into account.
IDA client firms now employ over 161-thousand people in Ireland, the highest number on record.
Meanwhile, agency Chief Executive Barry O'Leary used this morning's press conference to announce his resignation, saying he intends to pursue other opportunities after a 'difficult and demanding' few years.
