With a reduction in the number of Dail seats and constituencies, this election throws up challenges for candidates, many of whom have gained or lost entire neighbourhoods.
One such constituency is Dublin North West, a three-seater, which has acquired parts of Glasnevin and Drumcondra from Dublin Central.
Labour TD John Lyons says he'’ll be fighting for the third seat – with Social Democrat Roisin Shortall and Sinn Fein’s Dessie Ellis predicted to retain theirs.
