French police say they've arrested two men in the southern city of Marseille and put a stop to an imminent terror attack.

The interior minister says they allegedly planned to carry out an attack on French soil in the coming days.

France votes on Sunday in the first round of its presidential election - extra security measures are being put in place to protect the candidates, election headquarters and rallies.
