Indian government officials have blamed Pakistani militants for this morning's terrorist attack on an air force base.

At least 7 people, including four attackers, are thought to have died in the raid at the Pathankot base near the Pakistani border.

Pakistan has condemned the attack.

The Punjab region has been placed on a state of alert following the attack.
