The INMO's executive council will consider balloting for industrial action tomorrow.

Emergency Department nurses met with the Minister for Health in Dublin this afternoon to discuss overcrowding in hospitals.

The INMO say that industrial action at the country's worst effected hospitals is a real possibility.

Minister Leo Varadkar says that there is a 100 million euro plan in place for emergency departments.

But INMO General Sectretary Liam Doran says that's not nearly enough.

However Minister Leo Varadkar says that he doesn't see how industrial action will help patients.
