An inquest into the death of Mairead Moran has heard she was terrified when her killer turned up to her workplace less than a month before her murder in May 2014.
The 26 year old was stabbed to death at a health food store in Kilkenny.
Shane Smyth, whom Mairead had gone out with for eight months years prior, was found not guilty by reason of insanity at her murder trial last year

Mairead’s mother Margo Moran told the inquest that Mr. Smyth had turned up to the Market Cross Shopping Centre on April 11th and spat at her daughter.
The verdict in today’s inquest says Mairead Moran died from stab wounds and was stabbed by a known person.
