Inquiry witness labels report "worse than useless"

One of the first witnesses to attend the Banking Inquiry has said the findings are “worse than useless”.

Bill Black is among many commentators who say the inquiry has failed to find a true cause of the crisis, and wonÂ’t prevent a future collapse.

A Trinity College professor, Brian Lucey, has labelled the report's findings as "feeble" and says the state is now no further to fully understanding the causes of the collapse.

The comments come as the Dáil prepares to debate the findings of the €6.5 million euro inquiry.
