Instagram has introduced a new tool that allows celebrities block trolls on the site.
The photo sharing app has introduced the facility for high profile users - so they can automatically prevent harmful comments and insults.
It comes after Taylor Swift was inundated with abusive posts following her online row with Kim Kardashian and her ex boyfriend Calvin Harris.
Following the spats, #taylorswiftisoverparty began trending online, while she was labelled a “snake” and was bombarded with comments featuring the green snake emoji.
These comments seem to have disappeared from underneath her posts:

Instagram hasn't expanded on how the feature works, but it's believed to block comments that feature phrases that have been previously reported.
