Workers at Intel are bracing themselves for the worst with expectations that 400 jobs are to be lost at the Kildare plant today.

Management at the European Headquarters in Leixlip are expected to seek voluntary redundancies as part of the company's global restructuring plan.

4-thousand permanent staff are employed here in plants in Leixlip, Shannon and Cork.
