There's been widespread condemnation of yesterday's Israeli attack on Doha, which the Taoiseach has described as "a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty".
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says it was "a surgical, precision strike" on a Hamas delegation and that it was justified following the shooting dead of six people at a bus stop in Jerusalem on Monday, for which Hamas' armed wing claimed responsibility.
Members of Hamas' leadership were in the Qatari capital considering the latest Gaza ceasefire proposal when they were targeted.
The group has confirmed the leadership survived, but six people were killed, including a son of one of the leaders and a Qatari security officer.
I strongly condemn the Israeli attacks in Qatar – a clear violation of the country’s sovereignty & territorial integrity.
Qatar has played a positive role to achieve a ceasefire & the release of all hostages.
Everyone must work towards achieving a permanent ceasefire, not… pic.twitter.com/FNhfJh0HRr

The strike risks destabilising the entire negotiation process, with Qatar a lead negotiator in the Israel-Hamas conflict and a key ally of the US.
Israel claims it informed the US of the attack in advance.
While Qatar's prime minister says it was notified by America 10 minutes after the attack had begun.
Donald Trump has distanced the US from the strike, describing it as "unfortunate" and saying it was "not a decision made by me".
