The local community of Mountain Top are still trying to come to terms with the news that 24 year old Jody Brogan and her sister Angeline, who was 28, died in the blaze at Ceanann View in Letterkenny yesterday morning.

Its believed the fire began in the front living room of the house and spread to the bedroom upstairs where the girls were.

A man who had been sleeping at the back of the house, managed to escape and raised the alarm.

Former minister Dr James McDaid, who is the local GP, was called to the scene....he described it was an horrific incident, and his thoughts are with the girls family and friends.
