A post mortem will be carried out this morning on the body of a man who died in a farm accident in Co. Cork yesterday.

It's understood the 28-year-old was on the roof of a shed on a farm in Macroom when the roof collapsed.

Emergency services attended the scene, but the man was pronounced dead.

A post mortem will be carried out at Cork University Hospital this morning.

Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating.
