Gardaí have launched an investigation into the discovery of a man's body in Tipperary.

The grim finding was made at a recycling plant in Nenagh this morning.

The man's remains have been removed to University Hospital Limerick and the office of the state pathologist has carried out an examination.

The man is believed to have been in his 40's.
