An investigation is underway after a man in his 60s was killed in a plane crash in County Waterford yesterday evening.
The single-seater B-D-5 aircraft is believed to have experienced technical difficulties after leaving Waterford airport shortly after 6:30pm.
The pilot had been bound for Shannon Airport to attend the Foynes Air Show, and crashed near Clonea Upper while trying to turn back for Waterford.
