Prince Charles has spoken emotionally about the death of his great uncle Lord Mountbatten in an IRA bomb blast in Sligo in 1979.
The heir to the British throne will this evening visit the site of the killing - which he said caused him a deep 'personal anguish'.
Prince Charles says he prays that all those who lost loved ones in the Troubles can now have peace.
He says he feels the same loss as many others on both sides of the conflict.
Earlier - Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall went on an unscheduled walkabout in Sligo town.
The royal couple stopped to chat to Kathleen Henry in Sligo town this afternoon - along with her four month old son James.
Kathleen says it'll be a great family memory.
