Iraq has formally asked the United States to conduct air strikes against ISIS militant group which has over-run much of the country.
In their latest offensive, the Sunni extremist group have been attacking Iraq's largest oil refinery, in Baiji.
It follows the capture of a number of key cities in northern and central Iraq.
