The High Court will hear an application today from a Belfast student who wants voting rights for Irish citizens in northern Ireland.
Roisín Morelli believes people in the north should be allowed to vote in the abortion referendum.
Lawyers for the state are opposing the application.
Ms Morelli argues that the constitution gives voting rights to citizens in all 32 counties.
