The Irish flag will fly at half mast outside the Limerick City and Council Offices today as a mark of respect for Ailish Sheehan.

The 23 year old rower died in Poland on Friday, from injuries she sustained in a fall in Poznan five days before.

Before the fall, Ailish won a bronze medal at the World University Championships for Rowing.

Ailish was studying design in England and was representing University of London Boat Club at the competition.
