Muslim leaders in Ireland are calling on the media here not to publish images of the new issue of Charlie Hebdo which goes on sale today.

It follows comments from muslim cleric and academic Dr Ali Selim, who said he would take legal action under Ireland's blasphemy laws.

The latest Charlie Hebdo cover features a cartoon of the prophet Mohammed holding a "Je Suis Charlie placard" - under the headline "All is Forgiven".

Three million copies have been printed - with financial support from the French government, Google and the Guardian newspaper

It's one week since the Islamist attack on the magazine's office left 12 people dead.

Irish Times Correspondent in Paris, Lara Marlowe says there are complaints already about the new Charlie Hebdo cover.
