Irish Water dubbed 'Runaway Train'

Irish Water has been branded a ‘runaway train’ that will cost the taxpayer dearly - and it's being called upon by the Opposition to account for its setup costs.

Fianna Fail is calling for transparency in the operations of Irish Water while Independent TD Shane Ross is calling for its CEO to appear before the Public Accounts Committee.

Irish Water has admitted to spending 50 million euro on consultants' fees so far – and says those costs may rise further.
