Fresh controversy faces Irish Water as it seeks to charge householders high fees for repairs.

Householders with a suspected water leak are facing a minimum call-out charge of €188.

While the first fix will be free , a second call-out will not be.

Irish Water is seeking approval from the Commission of Energy Regulation for a wide range of additional charges - including fees for unsocial  hours reaching over €400 for just two hours work.
