An Irishman has been killed in a tragic accident in Australia.
Kevin Terrence Browne had been on night out with friends on Saturday night in Mount Isa in Queensland when he fell from mining equipment.
The 27 year old had gained access to a tourist attraction which includes a replica mine shaft - he was found at 11am the next morning.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the man's family.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
