Traffic disruption is continuing across parts of Dublin, Kildare and Meath because of today's Ironman event.

Scottish triathlete David McNamee won the competition earlier with a time of just over three hours and 48 minutes, while Sarah Lewis is the new women's champiom.

Two thousand athletes have taken part in the race, resulting in widespread road closures.

GAA fans heading to this afternoon's All-Ireland football semi final in Croke Park are also facing delays.
