The Irish Ambassador to Spain has arrived in Tunisia to liaise with authorities after yesterday's gun attack on a beach in Sousse.

David Cooney and consular officials will also assist the family of Meath woman Lorna Carty who was among the 38 people killed in the attack by Islamic State.

The Department of Foreign Affairs says its can't rule out the possibility that more Irish people were injured.

Irish people on holiday in Tunisia are being advised to contact their local representative and take guidance from hotel staff.

The President of the Irish Travel Agents Association Martin Skelly says some people due to fly out to Tunisia yesterday decided to change their travel plans:
