A new organisation has been launched which hopes to help rebuild public trust in Irish charities.

The sector has taken a major hit following a number of controversies, most recently at the national suicide charity Console.

Altruism Ireland is a non profit fundraising platform that gives transparency scores to charities based on a range of different criteria. 

It also ensures that zero per cent of donations goes towards fundraising costs.
