Events are being held across the capital today to mark national emergency services day.
Over a thousand members of state and voluntary organisations are marching on Dublin's O'Connell street this morning to highlight the work they do.
Staff from Ambulance and Fire Services and An Garda Siochana from 18 separate groups from around the country are taking part in the second annual parade. (10.30)
