Around 200,000 people have descended on Cheltenham for the first day of the annual Festival of racing.

And punters are preparing for another epic week at the track in the Cotswold's.

Last year  almost 11,000 bottles of champagne, more than 42,000 baps and over a quarter of a million pints of Guiness were consumed at the track alone.
