The family of Siobhán Phillips says Garda Tony Golden laid down his life for their daughter.

She was critically injured in Sunday's shooting in Omeath, in which Garda Golden was shot dead during a domestic incident at her home.

Preparations are underway for a full state funeral in Co Louth tomorrow.
